So I got a question for all of you guys. How come I can get my class 2 CWP at age 19 but can't buy a handgun to carry once i have my permit. Kinda seems to defeat the purpose of getting the permit until I turn 21.

On a side note I already have a Springfield xd but it just doesn't make sense to me

FEDERAL law prohibits a firearm dealer from selling a handgun to anyone under 21. STATE law doesn't prohibit you from possessing/carrying and handgun before 21.

Why? Because people that create federal laws don't know $@&# about what they're doing.

A. Not all weapons are guns.
B. You can conceal rifles and shotguns too.

Bottom line is, if you get your CWP, cops can't hassle you for a hunting knife, rifle, etc. when your traveling around. I still don't have one as I think is major BS and unconditional to have to get one. That and I don't own a hand gun, and I live in an area that I doubt I'll be hassled for anything else.

Well if they were to dig far enough into my pickup they would find lots of concealed knives. All kinds of hunting knives ride around with me every day. I'm mainly getting it to be able to carry my pistol ready to go with one in the chamber but I never thought of it in terms of knives. All guns that ride with me 99% of the time are visible. The other 1% are the ones that get cased and set in the tool box on the way to my range.

It's not all knives, just those with 5" blade, switchblade, stiletto, etc. ND weapon laws are actually a good read, mostly because they're a short read. www.ag.nd.gov

Government = Making sense? NOT!!!

On a side note does anyone know what is the only right given to us by our bill of rights that we actually have to pay money to exercise?
