What if this deer identifies as a doe, does it still count as a buck?

Either way, well done. That's a heck of a deer.

It all started a week before season when I lost my hunting spot. So after spending a evening on google earth and looking at a plots book. I found a couple good looking spots. I only had time that week to get one camera setup so I picked one the plots that looked good and set it up. I went back the Thursday before opener to check camera and hang a stand. IMG_0214.jpg This was the best deer that was there. And the one I wanted. I had sat 7 times before seeing this deer. Last Thursday I got in the stand and had what I thought was the perfect wind. Sure as shit here he comes straight down wind in the beans. He was at 20 yards and had a couple more steps to come before he was in my shooting lane. Well he winded me at took off. On Friday I went back in during a thunderstorm and downpour to hang some cameras to see if I could figure out the trail he was coming in. I got I. The area about 4 last night and checked some cameras. The first one had nothing but a couple does. The second one I hit the jackpot he only came in twice over the course of 3 days but I figured that was good enough to take the chance at a sit. IMG_0262.jpgIMG_0263.jpgThe pictures are a little blurry but u can see the mass this deer has. I set up the ghost blind about 20 yards to the south of where his trail was and waited. About 720 I was getting worried I wasn't even going to see a doe. Then I heard something coming in the cattails. He slowly came in to about 15 yards. Then locked up starring at the blind. I think he seen my head move. I thought I was screwed. He took off so I drew my bow he made the mistake of stopping at about 60 yards to see what I was. I had a little hole to shoot through but figured I could make it. I settled the 60 yards pin just a little high on his chest and let it go. Only to see a branch move after the shot. I got to watch my arrow flying in the air with the nocturnal glowing drilling him right in front of the ass. I said a lot of swear words in my head for about 5 seconds until I seen the blood flying out of him and getting to watch him tip over about 50 yards after the shot. This was a 100 percent pubic land deer also.

Yoby,

There's a good deal on plastic trees at Menard's. You can save big money.

Sometimes it better to be lucky than good.
What type of broadhead were you shooting?
