This is the big one I have running around I have had him at 5 yards twice. Just can't seem to shoot him.

Looks like he is pissing on his back legs and rubbing them together marking his spot.

When I was growing up there was extremely limited doe killing. If it had horns it was down and the thrill was in just getting a deer.

My contemporary feelings are mixed on this for youth seasons. I regret not spending more time with the boy with just "bobbers and bluegill". Sure, I have great pics but I feel he missed something now. This hit me a while back in Alabama when we were stocking a pond full of stunted bass. He knew the "real stuff" well but I've never seen him have such a great time fishing than when filling the aerated wash tub in the back of his grandfather's truck. This was after a 28in walleye on his wall at the age of three (Rapala "Vampire" below the Darling Dam on his "Dale Jr." Zebco combo) numerous double digit pike, whopper patches for smallmouth and battles with salmon.

That little area is sort of like an island with very little to no in and out migration and not enough hunting or predation. When I used to bow "hunt" it, I saw a lot of deer that looked like that. It's a ticking genetic time bomb.

Rod, I would shoot that 7 by 2 or whatever in a heartbeat! That thing is sweet!

I'd post some pictures of some of my "winners" but its a nightmare for me to post pics on this website.

I totally agree I would put that deer in the dirt with either of my tags. I bet he would look cool as a euro because his right side base has to be goofy as hell.

As for the first pics that third deer is crazy because if his body is telling the truth he's not a pup and that's a pathetic rack for a one-year-old deer let alone a deer that's possibly older!
