the boy and I fished the shore line of Patterson on Saturday for a couple hours, I wanted to put the boat in, but 30 mph winds made that seem wasteful.

Lots of guys pitching the shore lines, but I didn't see anyone catch anything.

We were out this week to drop off a camper. The flats were open from Hwy 19 South, hard to see where the ice pack was. Pelican was wide open with one boat out fishing, they put in off the highway, east of the bridge. Six mile wide open North of 19, South of 19 it looked like the ice pack was out quite a ways. Creel bay looked like it had quite a bit of ice on it. East bay still had quite a bit of ice too, ice looks very slushy
shouldn't be long.
