Wondering if it's worth traveling 2 hours tomorrow for the morning bite on devils lake with this weather coming in tomorrow afternoon???

Oh, c'mon now. Pike caught this time of year are delicious. If you are traveling a fair distance, don't short your trip by not taking your fair share of pike home with you.
Agreed - excellent table fare.

But how does one get them home and processed without getting their stink on you or your gear? 🥴

I cut their throats on the ice and let them bleed out, then I use an electric fillet knife to remove the meat. The fish carcass goes into a pail or bucket whichever you fancy, I like the kitty litter square ones with the lid that can be folded up on one side. No more slime
