I’m heading up to devils lake tomorrow for a few days. Any advice to succeed on perch? Two days will be at woodlands, but I got a evening by myself and a morning by myself.

Devils can be a crap shoot depending on barometric pressure, other then that graham's island zickbock pass. Go north to the feeder lakes, blacktiger Bay, Jerusalem point, the normal spots will always be mention on the interweb because really again devils can be a cold bitch to figure out especially if you are looking for perch bites or fish early or late walleye bite. You can also gives these guys a shot with an increased up to date fishing spots good luck

Did you do any good ? Going to head down sometime soon and spend a couple days out on the ice. Wondering if there's decent a trail out to the ice from the casino ?

Years past heading out from woodland resort,my decent goto right in creel bay is fish the sunkin trees on the west side about 1 mile from lake access, i mean right in the trees, pop a few holes, underwater tree limbs will appear orange on a vex,perch/ walleye echos will flash and move around tree limbs, small hammered gold Swedish pimple and hammered s m all verticle spoon with bubble gum color tape on one side always produced with a fathead minnow head (pinched off for lure stink)

Six mile bay was always productive as well, evening bite when shrimp float up your ice hole attracted to shack lights, same spot @sunrise for perch.

I was thinking a good place to get on the ice, Last time I was there the trail was an abandon boat ramp that was steep and had a rebar tire poker.
