Dish Tailgater

Mrs johnr is picking up a tailgater for the RV, my question is as far as mounting them. You guys that have them, do you just place it on top of your camper, on the ground next to the camper, or do you somehow secure it to the camper?

We season park so it doesn't need to be secured for any sort of travel, just high winds, or theft is what I was thinking.

I would just set it on the ground while you are using it and put it away when done. The only thing about setting it on the ground would be if somebody walks in front of the signal it can cut out for a bit.

I've seen a lot of folks set em on the ground or in pickup box. They're pretty easy to move around I believe.

Yeah I've never seen one on the roof before. I don't see why it wouldn't work other than wind, like you said.

I see most people just settin em on the ground. Gunna try it out this year.

We set ours on the ground so we can take it camping or ice fishing easily.

Thanks guys, I ask because a fellow camper last weekend was climbing around on his roof with his little white satellite. And of course I was worried about having to send mrs johnr up there as she is somewhat clumsy.
