Yes, I hope he listens as well. Figured he did the pole to come to a decision and then act on it, not just leave it the way it is now.

I thought the way it is now is how the way was supposed to stay. Very little to nothing other than in said section and group. I think the poll should be up for only the founding members in that group. Hows that for pissing in some cheerios

In front.
i wouldnt look at the pole as a majority rules type thing, it shows support/TRAFFIC for politics being on the revolving activity listing. plus, imagine moderating, and deciding when a thread turns too political?!?!?!

HEADACHE

anyhow, poll shows support, he'll leave it alone

I am having fun twisting the anti serious political hacks tittys

You should look in the founding members group section and see what it says. It is leaning pretty heavy in one direction option 3 seems to be winning.

The founding members didn't start this site, Vollmer did. U just signed up before most. If that makes u feel special good for u Kurt. He'd be a fool to cater to a small group over 100s of other members that aren't as cool as u. I can c ur head is just as big as it was on FBO.

He might be a fool to "cater" to someone that has just joined and spent all his time bitchin and attacking others.

Lets change the question a bit, what would you hope to gain by changing it Vollmer? Is it just clicks you're looking for or what?

No. I am simply wanting to know if it is wanted. Keeping a finger on the pulse :)

For greatly increased click-count, try to build up the classifieds section. Put the last 10 classifieds in a side-bar. The classifieds generate an enormous number of clicks for 24hrcampfire and Snipershide.

It is already there. But promoting it further is an idea.

If it's click counts, then allow each user to individualize what categories appear on their sidebar. That way each person will see the items they like to see which should increase their interest and clicks. If I don't want political crap but like just fishing and hunting, if my bar's full of hunting and fishing topics there's a lot better chance I'll stay awhile and read them if my thread is full of them. However, if it's full of political crap the chances decrease that I'll then go looking for what I want and will instead just move on to another site I like to read. Those here to beat the Faux News or MSLIberalNBC's talking points into everyone's brains can do it without making those of us who prefer fun things like hunting, fishing, and joking around having to weed thru the bs. The more each person immediately sees what interests them, the higher the chance they'll stay a bit. But if the thread is full of crap you have no interest in, how long area you going to stay and look around? You could even add a replies amount to those categories. So, if a topic you normally wouldn't want reaches 50 replies it would then show up on your sidebar. That way if there was something that was getting a lot of interest, but not something you'd normally follow it would show up. win-win. I as a user could say I want all hunting and fishing topics, but politics only if it's had 50 replies. It'd really improve the visitors experience.

Faux News DOES have Hannity, Gutfield and RedEye...Faux Business has Sullivan and Stossel...Kennedy is good for a laugh.

That is a great idea. Have a box to check if you want the political section to show in the side bar. Then it would be up to users to post it in the correct sub category. If a user does not you can ignore and there threads won't show up on your personalized side bar. Not knowing how programming works that would be a question for vollmer if it would work that way.
