Seriously if you can't see that house you are either blind, drunk or going way too damn fast. People shouldn't be going more then 25mph on a lake anyway. Do they not realize the pressure wake they are making driving on it? The faster you go the harder that wake is hitting shore and can break out even a foot of ice! You can't fix stupid!

Still, if it was hunter orange, I bet it wouldnt have been hit....

Ouch , The tracks would have told the tale. At one time or the other almost every one of us that has driven on a frozen lake without much snow had to "give er the onion" and go into a power slide just because you knew the cops weren't watching and you knew you could get away with it, I know I have lots of times. My guess would be too much speed and no control and the person that hit it felt bad but not bad enough do the right thing and fess up.
