Getting in a vehicle while impaired and running the risk of injuring or killing someone is far more than a poor choice. We wouldn't label leaving a gun around the house where a child could get to it as a poor choice.</p><p></p><p>We act like getting a DUI charge is an unfortunate result of the action, like getting a speeding ticket. Most people think the speeding ticket is the cop's fault, and ignore the fact that the person was actually speeding. A lot of times a DUI charge gets thought about the same way. In my mind if you get a DUI you got off easy, as opposed to having to live with killing someone due to your recklessness.</p><p></p><p>Off my soapbox now - carry on.</p></blockquote><p></p>
