Johnr, as long as that model is still in their product line, they will make it right. My SportDog remote went bad a few years ago, and they sent me a new remote within a couple days. I think I only had to pay for shipping.

The rubber cover on the on off switch came of on my dogs collar, of course he found water and filled the entire box with water. Well it's now not working, any chance it will come back? Or am I effd?

Check out collarclinic.com. They'll repair/refurbish any make or model of e-collar, and they sell refurbished ecollars too. Unless you really want to upgrade, it's probably worth shelling out $100 for them to do it right.

Dogtra SD 1225 from cabelas for $208.00 is what I picked up. My GSP is not needing more than a few hundred yards of range, he is tall enough for what I hunt that when he gets on point I won't loss him in the grass, and it gives me what I had prior, with double the range at 3/4 of a mile. Not needed , but the price was right.

Sending the old one in was going to cost minimum $100, and at 7yrs old seemed an extra $100 on a new one was a better waste of my shrinking stash.

I have been very happy with the 1900 series of Dogtra collars. Lost one (our fault) and the second one is even better. Would definitely recommend them. No beeper, just a vibrating page. My dad's lab absolutely hates the vibrate, it works better than the shock LOL!
