Seems like my high school boys, and the queen of the castle, would really enjoy this. Hoping to try it this weekend! Doesn't seem like you can go wrong.....

Made the ice cream bread last nite...very tastey, but very heavy bread!
I'll add about 2-3 tbl of milk or cream next time, and cook about 5-7 minutes longer.
Makes a great breakfast bread with a cup of joe.
Put a good dab of butter on it, and micro for 12-15 seconds.

Seems like it has the consistency of banana bread since it doesn't have the volume of rising like your traditional leavened bread. But still im a huge fan of banana or even zucchini bread

Before you go make a special trip to the store for self rising flour check this our. Just add some baking powder and salt to regular flour.

I just made the strawberry ice cream bread. It works! Gonna have to try some other flavors but it's good. I used regular flour with baking powder and salt and the consistency of bread was perfect.

I'll make real bread if I want it, but am admittedly intrigued by this. I'll have to make a couple random loaves soon.
