EHD is back..AGAIN!

EHD seems so foreign to me, our climate up here must be cooler enough to keep it at bay. I've never heard of a case in the turtle mountains. The deer herd seems healthy and thriving up here.

ive been battling deer all summer, I wouldnt cry too much if they disappeared for a few years again...

Be careful what you wish for, if times get tough you might want a little venison to go along with all those berries .

You are correct if the rain event happens when the temps are high enough for long enough for a generation of midges to occur. If we stay in the 60's I suspect that those temps will not assist in the midges going from egg to adult in a timely manner before the first frost ends this entire EHD event.

Yea you guys are extremely fortunate! I'm just glad I get to hunt Manitoba every year because these die offs are getting sickening down here!
