End of Ice Fishing

Looking at the forecast, we have some nicer weather predicted. Anybody still going to try to get out a time or two? What are ice conditions in your area?

im hoping wed / thurs to hit sakakawea or Audubon when I looked at the hook this morning it looked ok still

open water under the bridges here and this wind is eating it get some rain and we should be rid of the ice in no time

Lots of ice fishing left to do. Last weekend the ice was very good at Devils Lake.

Lakes even down at bismarck are still near 100% of peak ice so even warm weather is going to take a fair bit of time to have any real impact. Shore ice might deteriorate somewhat fast but the main ice is going to take awile.

We prob won't see open water for another month I would think. Ice should be fine this week as there has been an ice build since the last warm up

Hit up a smaller lake north of Bismarck yesterday. Solid 26" of ice.

There was 5 or 6 pickups on audobon yesterday

Fished Parshall bay last evening for pike. 3 hrs and no flags. Lots of water on the ice and a ton of water running down through a few holes. Ice was still 24"+ and solid after the top 3-5". Shorelines could get sketchy pretty quick here though.

Souris river has open water in several areas. They were pumping the river pretty hard right now. North of Minot lots open all the way to lake darling
