lunker, not that I care one way or the other. but, unless those section lines that you described have been closed by the county, then those obstructions are illegal in that they were clearly placed to impeded travel. doesn't sound like they completely prevent travel. so, it might be up in the air. but, it certainly sounds like they have the purpose of impeding or restricting travel. not that I would make a stink of it though. just pointing out I disagree that those objects have been placed "legally". and on the dry lake issue... are you referring to the channel A road? if so, that ain't no section line that leads to his boat ramp and he didn't have to pay to have it closed. there is another one though.

Espringers, it's zeigler on dry lake he was sick of people driving through his yard. Also I look at it as a way to let people know that this road does not able to have through traffic accessible. Especially if they are not familiar with the area. Some of those roads up north had water on both sides and the only way to get back was to back up. I think it is more of a warning then anything else.

gotcha. that's the other one I had in mind. although, I didn't think it cost any money. that section line has never really went anyplace other than his house since as long as I've been alive.

Do counties have readily available maps on all closed section lines?

Of course they do, just call the clerk of court he/she will email you the up to date map that day. Color or black and white?
