Anybody else try ordering those faceshields that pop up in the ads? Thought about trying the 5 pack for $15 but I sure am not paying the $75 for 5. The promo code doesn't work.

I got bombed one night and it looked like a good purchase. Got the 5 for $15. They're not bad if I remember to bring them with.

They seemed way too warm to wear in temps above 50-60 or so. Were nice to have in the tiller on a chilly morning though.

I have a few of them, work pretty well. They always have a promo of some sort. I really like the fleece winter ones.

Take care of yourself guys. My fishing partner and I are both in our mid 50's and have both had various skin cancer spots including melanoma. Sun screen, UV blocking clothing, and things like these could be one of your cheapest yet wisest investments. Until I hit my 50's my summers were spent in a boat wearing just flip flops and shorts. Now, if I would just be better at practicing what I'm preaching to all of you. But I do have to say at least I've added a shirt (more due to a larger number on the bathroom scale at home though) and actually put on sunscreen.

I bought a 5 pack of them last year for $15-20 from SA. They are lighter/thinner than Buff brand (Also have one of those). Ahab, five does seem like a lot until you put one in the tackle box, one in the boat, one in the truck, another for sitting on the mower, and i also gave a couple away to fishing buddies.

The deal I got had them 5 for $15 and free shipping. Full retail is about the same for 1....so I got five. Seemed like a good idea at the time and current state of mind. I got a green (for bow hunting), white, gray, red and a fish scale pattern one I believe. I use the gray one mostly.

My hatred for having to put on sunscreen got me to wear long sleeve shirts while fishing. I still forget to put something on the ears and face though. I need to start getting better.

Speaking of sun screen, what kind do you guys use?:;:huh I use the Banana Boat Sport 50, as it sprays on clear. It works well on my 1/2 bald head as I don't wear caps because they give me headaches.

The spray stuff has its place but I don't think it does as good of a job as a glob of the old style stuff. Which is why I hate sunscreen.

I use the spray stuff. I have it in my head that getting sunscreen all over my hands will result in fewer fish caught. Like touching pike
