Get out and chase those LMB!

Caught my PB largie today, 21.25" and 6.34 lbs pitching a texas rigged crayfish. Gotta love the late summer bass bite! Eastern ND lake, weed edge, 8 feet deep.

Added a bonus 20" walleye on the same technique along with 13 other bass, including a 3.75 lb and a 4 lb.

HOT DAMN!! Around about the first frost a spinnerbait is the key from noon until dark. Hell of a nice bass man!

I forced myself to get the feel and confidence for plastics this year. Man has it paid off! When I get tired of bass I'll try it on walleyes.

In the mean time, I seem to stumble into walleye while fishing for bass. BONUS!

Very nice, gotta love not messing with live bait. Spinner baits are my favorite weapon of choice, weedless swim bait second then slowing down as you did with creature baits. Used to love punching lilly pad beds, good ole jungle fishing. Just remember the walleye folk have been learning from the bass folk the last few years. Now I just need to take the time and get out, gear has been doing nothing but collecting dust last few years.

Yes Sir - my oldest son taught me that "slide slide" was the ticket when he literally outfished me 20-3 one day, his biggest 5 weighing 17.5 lbs. I was "hop hop" and wasn't catching much at all.

I was JUST looking at these as an interesting variant to my current technique. You pushed me over the hump - going to purchase and try!

I mainly use the slide with "creature" baits and lizards. With worms I tend to use very short hops trying to simulate "pecking and feeding". When the tip gets too high I'll reel it down swimming the bait a couple feet.
