I heard a couple cops were shot in the Northeastern part of the country yesterday as well. Didn't hear any details. Pray.

Two were killed in Maryland yesterday as well and a Colorado deputy died yesterday after he was shot on Monday. He was kept on life support for a couple days as he was an organ donor and his family wanted to follow his wishes, so his usable organs helped save others.

They're saying the gunman was charged with a murder in 1988 but only convicted of negligent homicide in Grand Forks.

Officer Jason Moszer is the younger brother of a friend of mine. It is a very sad day as he was one nicest people you would meet. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

If I read correctly shot two in 1988 and one passed away and was given 5 years!!! What the hell is wrong….get in more trouble for shooting a deer out of season…..feel horrible for that poor family!!!

Something I certainly didn't know. In North Dakota a violent felon can purchase/possess firearms 10 years after their release date.

The fallen officer's Dad works with my wife and his Mom works in the lunch room of our daughter's school, very sad day in the community.

My word that is just aweful. I joke about cops sometimes but it is a very dangerous job these days and they are underpaid.

Don't take this the wrong way, but I thought I had heard once that the life insurance if a police officer is killed in the line of duty is like 5-10 million dollars?
