I have this one on my I-pod and it gets tons of laughs when folks hear it while on my pontoon in the summer time. I almost get tired of cleaning drinks off my carpet and furniture that have been blown out nostrils from laughing once people realize what they are hearing, but it is worth it.;:;rofl

One can never go wrong with a bit of Kid Rock.Thumbs Up
I'm not sure how these things work. Here are some must have's IMO. As said before you didn't specify. I prefer live albums as they seem to have more energy. This is by no means all inclusive but should keep you busy for a while loading incredible stuff.
Pink Floyd:
Dark Side of The Moon
Animals
The Wall--Wall Live is better with bonus tracks only found in the movie
All Led Zeppelin from "Led Zeppelin" though "In Though the Out Door" (not a fan of "Coda")
The Who:
Next
Quadrophenia
By Numbers
Who Are Are You
It's Hard
Who's Last
Join Together (if you can find it) or Live At Radio City Music Hall (just for the drumming of Simon Phillips)
KISS--Alive/Alive II--all you'll need to become a fan and be disappointed in them about all other efforts.
Beatles: White Album and Rubber Sole
Jimi Hendrix: Are You Experienced?--anything live also
Charlie Daniels
Hank Jr
Merle Haggard
Waylon Jennings--greatest hits of all the above four
Johnny Cash:
Live at Folsom Prison
Montgomery Gentry:
Tattoos And Scars
Carrying On
Eric Clapton:
Just One Night
Rush:
Rush
2112
A Farewell to Kings
Moving Pictures
Power Windows
Yes:
90120
Big Generator ( both not "real" Yes but my favorites)
Genesis:
Trick of the Tail (vocals and drumming of Phillip Collins--illegally fast bike ride in Nevada to a bar at sunset--perfect)
Def Leppard:
On Through the Night
High and Dry
Pyromania
AC/DC:
Let There Be Rock
As said before this is by no means all inclusive. It's a collection of albums which I enjoy 98-99% of the songs. This should fill a bit of memory and provide much enjoyment if you have similar taste. Many live variations on most of the above.
Here's a few suggestions. Deep Purple Smoke on the water, any Sinatra or Rat Pack, Jan and Dean, Clapton, Waylon and Willy, Hank Jr, Back in black AC-DC, Light my fire The Doors, Born to be wild Steppenwolf, Born to run Springsteen, Long Cool Woman in a Black Dress The Holies, Nights in White Satin Moody Blues
Deep Purple:
Fireball
In Rock
Made in Japan (live--covers "Machine Head" IMO)
Made in Europe (live--with David Coverdale later from WhiteSnake)
Perfect Strangers
Pink Floyd-momentary lapse of reason, delicate sounds of thunder (pretty much all Pink Floyd)
Dire Straits-brothers in arms
Phil Collins-in the air tonight and don't care anymore
Kaleo-way down we go
AC/DC-razors edge
Mark Knopfler and Dire Straits-private investigations
Zeppelin-All
Alt-J
Alice in chains
Beck
Radiohead
Chet Faker
Citizen Cope
Coverdale/Page
Dave Mathews
Fleetwood Mac/Lindsey Buckingham
Joe Banamassa
John Butler Trio
Linkin Park
Metallica
A Perfect Circle
X Ambassadors
Pearl Jam
Temple of the Dog
Ozzy
I left rap and country off the list because I figured I might be wasting my time if you aren't a fan.
It all turned into distorted guitar disco for the most part until the '90's with extreme few exceptions. You weren't a "headbanger"; you were John Travolta dressed queer on Halloween pretending to worship Satan. The '80' were mostly bad for Rock.
Country is going through a VERY bad period now...curious.
Clutch, BLS, Sweet Apple, Kaleo, Zed, Goodbye June, Little River Band, ELO, Styx, Gracepoint, Rival Sons, The Temperence Movement, kill it kid, Godsmack, Smith and Meyers, mount Carmel, The Company Band.
