This is incorrect. The more layers of clothes u have on is just more added weight as soon as it soaks up witch takes no time at all and decreases Ur chances of getting out all by urself.

Fell through 20 some years ago on Devils in 3 feet. If It would have been over my head I might have been in a world of shit. Had bibs on and it didn't take more than a few seconds to feel the burn. Luckily I wasn't alone and the other two I was with acted fast and helped me out.

I grew up on a lake and yes I've fallen through actually fallen through many time but that was because as kids my friends and i would do it for fun come spring. Have though the last couple years taken friends there come spring to fall through on purpose so that if it happens to them when they are not expecting it they know what it feels like and what to do!
