Fish Finder Question

Hey guys (and gals), I have a question for you.
I am new to Kayak fishing, but I am looking into getting a fishfinder on my kayak. My budget it around $300. Currently I am looking at either the Garmin Echomap Plus 43Cv Or the STRIKER™ Plus 5cv.
What are your thoughts on thses two
Or what do you suggest?

I have the echomap 93SV and love it. its really going to come down to personal preference. I used to run birds but switched to Garmin and love the user interface.
