If my pickup comes within 20 feet of the pontoon both dogs are sitting at the front of the hitch waiting for the go head to hop in the bed of the pickup.
The days we leave them behind I swear they can throw daggers with their eyes watching us pull out of the yard with the toon.

Royce loves fishing. But he's so amped about the bobber, lure, sound of the drag, etc. the entire time it gets old.

this is his standard approach. He falls in once in a while being distracted and crapping his pants about what is in the water.

I put a pet life jacket on my lab, get a lot of crap because I do but if you ever have to get the dog back in the boat you would know why. There is a handle on top, makes it much easier when a 60# dog turns into a 100# wet dog who just wants to have fun.

That's Zoei, my pastor's dog.

Yeah, Royce is 60lb too. Heavy when wet. Ugh.

I don't have any pictures but my red lab loves to go and shuns me at home if I don't take him but 100 lb lab that can and will try to jump from the bow over the motor at 40 is not really safe so I can only take him on days that I don't plan to hop around

Ditto LBrandt on the life jacket. It's not for the dog, it's for saving the captain's back lifting the f*^$#*(g dog back in the boat after an unexpected swim.

Also ditto guy on the dog paying too much attention to the lure. Sometimes I think my dog is going to eat the damn thing. They say tackle is designed to catch fisherman instead of fish, but I think it also appeals to poodles. Mine is 1/2 standard poodle.

What's schem all doin' doggies to very much? (I believe in "baby talK" to animals for bonding)

Not commands

- - - Updated - - -

A shock collar would be most appreciated on my lake-side property when "Rover" needs to stretch his legs.

- - - Updated - - -

"NO" is very important and "COME" probably more so. Police dogs are taught these two commands as one: NO/COME: The shock collar is a good deal for all involved. Their skulls are as thick as backroad mud until they get old.

- - - Updated - - -

They can/will defy as long as they BELIEVE you can't "touch" them. COME should always be associated with praise.

I don't have any pics of the pups in the boat. Cause I won't bring her with all my shorthair does is sit in the front of the boat and cry if she doesn't see the lure in the water. I haven't brought the Vizsla out yet.
