Perfect weather for me would be sweatshirt weather. I don't like it hot or humid. Never used to mind the cold either but now after all my surgeries and getting old, the cold just tears me up.
Would like to go to Arizona in the winter but too darn expensive to rent a place plus must be allowed to bring our chocolate lab as can't leave her in a kennel for 3-4 months.
Enjoy life while you can as you get old way too fast!

I can deal with the cold (dress warmer or turn up the heat) I can deal with snow (have a snow blower) But when the wind comes when its cold it sucks.;:;barf It hasn't snowed since last Saturday night, but every day since it snowed, the wind has kept blowing the snow back onto my driveway and decks. ;:;banghead I HATE the wind!!

First of all rarely do we see a 90 degree day. I can count on 1 or 2 fingers this summer. Second a 90 degree day with low winds usually starts out at 70 and gives a person hands down a nice 6 hours in the boat before it starts feeling miserable. A 35 degree day in the boat no thanks did that enough 10mild wind and 35 brutal as 10 sustained is 15 gusts. U have to fish with a buddy on a day like that and u cant have any mistakes or engine issues. Remember the guy floating on the gas can all night it would of been 10 minutes lights out. I am going to say majority of my friends and people I see every day r in better moods during the summer most live for it. I like all seasons but I will take open water any day vs ice. Ice overrated
Not sure about where you are but a quick count we looked to have had 20 days 90 and above here in Bismarck and a bunch of days just below that mark. Now I would definitely take 90 degree days over this shit we have now anytime. Ice fishing is fun but I still much prefer a nice spring or summer afternoon on the open water.

Been sitting in a ground blind the past few days. Heater crapped out today but the buck I'm after is getting closer. Hopefully he gives me shot before I freeze to death.

Dean do u have to Fucking correct everything and everybody. Maybey shorthairs doesn't live in Bismarck. Maybey where he lives he had 20 damn days where it hit 89 degrees. As soon as someone posts something there his Dean on his mommy's computer in the basement googling facts so he can get them posted online so we all know how smart u are. Quite pathetic.

Last 8 days working outside has been a little slice of heaven.

nobody pesters me outside while i'm working in this kind of weather. NO Dogs, no kids, no retirees, no bosses......frikken drivers though; look out....

wife has said the past few days the pheasants have been visiting our backyard. She feeds the birds raw sunflower seeds. Some get spilled. The pheasants will come in and pick those up. I snow blow a single path around our three large evergreens. Wife feeds with seeds in the birdfeeders in those trees. Pheasants crawl in and sun themselves if possible and even look to get out of the wind. I'm sure it won't be long and the deer will find the seeds too. Happens every year when the extreme weather hits.

The weather i was referring to was on the devils lake; even if Bis made those 90 degree days -- i seriously doubt the air temp on the big water was 90 - SD oahe - yup but not sak. It may feel like it but rarely does it actually hit it. Water temps dont warm up until the end of the July. I had bibs on until second week of July. 4th was hot and nice -- but the rest of the weekend was cold.

Dream this am:
I was hoppin out of my p/u and walking back to the boat to unhook it at the ramp. I feel that heat from the morning sun beat on the brim of my hat, I can feel it on the back of my t shirt, I look out and see the water glistening with a light ripple, in the background i can hear a big opti wailing its way to some hotspot, i look up at the sky not a cloud, look into the water and see about a hundred little minnows (walleys), I thank the big guy up stairs. Nothing better than that.

I feel the heat and the concrete is already at 85 degrees the contractor is up my ass about setting to fast the dot is pissed it is reaching that 90 degree point only another 380 yards to go and it is only 6:30 in the morning. The pump truck plugged now shit is getting real we have 15 loaded trucks waiting to dump and it is now 10 am and we are pushing that 90 degree mark and on the brink of rejecting loads having to put ice in at the plant. Well with this charlie fox trot the next morning we have to start at 2 am shit part is every one worked till 9 the last night. I cant wait for 40 degrees. Is it hunting season yet and i cant wait for all the jet skis to leave the water.

Whats the deal pouring concrete in this weather?? Just asking for things to go wrong, only to find when it comes to final inspection, they gonna make you rip it out and do it over...makes no sense.
