Im not hopeful for something like that surviving in ND tho...
BirdsWhat in tarnation are you planning now with 1,000 raspberry bushes?
True, the deer nibbled the 300 I planted last spring a lot last winter. I plan to grow these primocane anyway so they will be mowed to the ground every spring and allowed to regrow. To be honest deer and raspberries arn't such a bad combination. Deer eat on them in the winter and they produce just as good if not better. Wife had a yellow rose and the deer chewed it to the ground and she was soo mad . I forget the timeline but later that rose came back so big and beautiful we couldn't belive it.

Thousands, just last summer I put down 5000ft of plastic and planted 4 300ft rows of juneberry, 3 300ft rows of haskap, 3 300 foot rows of black currants and 3 300ft rows of sour cherry. Im planting another 300ft row of apricots this spring also. you can see here where I was prepping the soil to put the new plastic down.Well done. You're soon gonna be able to retire early and become a producer , consultant and jack of all trades. I havent kept track but how many trees have you planted since you bought that land ?
I saw a transplanted tree at a ND State Park and walked up and looked , I forget the species but the price tag was still attached the price was like $ 130 bucks . What got me was it was that is was from a Canadian producer.
