My brother had this done, thought "meh, no big deal, I have the day off, gonna put down some mulch in the backyard".

Next day he was kinda sorta trying to put his head under the wheels of a garbage truck, to take his mind off his pair-a-dice.

Lesson: Do what the doc tells ya, and take the next day or two real easy, regardless of how "that didn't hurt" you feel.

Dental work makes me queezy too. I hadn't been to the dentist for years, and last week I was eating a DQ Rocky Road (who knew they put real rocks in there?) Blizzard. Fast forward a few days and the total bill is going to be $2965. That's $2660 for the root canal and the crown, $200 for a full exam, $100 for the cleaning (long overdue), and $5 for the blizzard.

That cleaning made me cry, and crap my pants.

Got mine done about 3 or 4 years ago at Sanford in Fargo. No problems other than I pushed it a little too much on Sunday afternoon (had it done on Friday morning). Paid the price for a couple days. If they tell you to rest for 3 days, make it 4 even if you feel really good after a day. On a positive note, milked it all of Friday and Saturday. Got a lot of relaxation in and a few naps.

As a side note, a co-worker had it done and the numbing stuff didn't take on one side. Said he damn near threw up and claimed he found himself swearing up a blue streak at the Doc for screwing up. Said he's pretty sure the whole place probably heard him. Worst pain he said he's ever had.

Worked with a guy who had it done and wisdom teeth pulled a day or so apart. Cheap ass didn't want to use too many vacation days. He paid dearly for it. Another guy ended up with some kind of internal leakage that formed a blood clot. They wouldn't go back in till he healed up. So he walked around with buffalo nuts and could only wear sweat pants for quite awhile.

I asked my Doc about it and he explained it to me. Then he said that I would need 6 BJ's afterwards. Hell, I think that is a good enough reason to have it done.
