So I got a few bucks that I'm after that are keeping their distance from my stands as of late and there is absolutely nowhere for me to hang another stand due to lack of trees or put up a blind that will withstand the wind beings there is nothing but cat tails,CRP and a corn field so was thinking over the idea or trying a ghost blind along where Ive watched them travel these past few weeks. Never used one before so just wondering if any of you guys have used one with success?

Sounds to me like they might have YOU patterned. I think you might be able to save a few pennies and stack up some koshia in the cat tails or wherever and be more hidden. Tough to hide in CRP though. Tried that a couple times and they always seemed to pick out that shape in the grass as bad juju. That or just rest your stands for a couple weeks. Good Luck!! I hope you get close enough to stick one!!!

Put up a scare crow where you don't want them to travel so to push them your direction.

What KDM said.. Ive hunted alot of cattails bowhunting.. Get yourself a milk crate cut it in half and sit in the cattails.. Has worked great for me.. make sure to get far enough in them and not a foot off the edge, they might be close when u can see them but then you still have a good chance of still pulling back unnoticed.

Own a Ghost Blind, use it occasionally. It's pretty nice for run and gun hunting. I take the bag off my pack frame and strap the blind to the pack with a chair. Not too heavy, but holy eff will it toss you around in a stiff breeze. Like having a big sail strapped to your back.

As for efficacy, I've been within 10 yards of plenty of deer and turkeys without getting busted. But that's remaining ABSOLUTELY still. I bought the extenders for all 4 panels, which helps a lot for drawing a bow.

So, after 3 seasons of use here's my bottom line review: Awesome concealment. Lighter on the back than a Double Bull. Works scary well in standing corn. Sucks in the wind. Can't leave it out for the season like a hub blind (it's constructed of corrugated plastic). I'm glad I own it, but if I had to do it over again I'd invest in an ASAT 3D suit and take KDM's natural blind advice.

I've seen 4 deer get killed from behind a ghost blind this year. My buck and 3 does. They work great but movement has to be kept to a minimum.

OR...OR...Put up a damn scarecrow right freakn' in front of your stand then rest it a while per KD. Spray the hell out of it with some cover scent then apply the same thing to yourself when you go back. I'll bet this would freaking work.
