Any of you up on this dog collar? Called "halo fencing " My current boy wonders,he gets carried away with scents but this concept to setup Geo Fencing is interesting if it works, no yard fences,no chains or ropes to contain..

My wife's aunt and uncle use it for their german shepherd and they seem to like it.

We have an underground (Petsafe) system that keeps our 2 pups on our 2 acre property 95% of the time. They are willing to take a jolt for squirrel, rabbit. Neighbor has a Halo geofencing system that provides similar results. Our system cost less and has no ongoing subscription fee. Neighbor has the benefit of modifying boundaries via cell phone and gps tracking if pup wonders off). I would think either system should work well if dog(s) receive proper training (boundary flags, etc.)

We have a wireless system and checked out the halo system before we bought wireless. Everything was positive except the price. We have a large yard in the country, but not "acres". The wireless system has kept our pooch off the highway.

It very much helped the pup went through e collar training before we got the wireless system.

I have one i used when we got our new pup to keep it from running on the farm and to keep it from going to the highway. Haven't had to use it much lately after she learned the boundaries. What i really liked was when we were camping i could set it up for the camping area and keep them from going to visit neighbors. I also had to use it lately for my old lab, she's really been wandering a lot on the farm and went to the highway a couple of times. She learned pretty quick to stay close to the yard again.
