Grand forks Fishing

Looking like ill be in forks next week for work, is the red open yet? worth throwing some gear in the car or should i just leave it a home and go to cabelas

I would guess it is open near the dam, but I don't know for sure.

The dam in east grand forks is open and if the weather stays decent the river should open up quickly but the other day there was still some ice

GF is open from the dam as far as you can see to the north. I would guess a half mile at the very least. There is still lots of ice above the dam but I suspect 3-5 days and that will be about gone too. GAME ON!
