Gray television can.... resolved

Good news for anyone using dishnetwork on the ice this weekend, eastern half of the state loses NBC and cbs, meaning no afc championship game. And the western side of the state loses NBC and Fox, meaning no NFC championship game. I'd rather the cable and satellite industry not budge, but as always, eventually dishnetwork will have to cave into grays demands. Then in a couple months Midco will have to deal with the same crap, followed by directv, and then nexstar(kxmc) and whoever runs wday/kbmy will demand a raise in fees, etc. eventually putting the antenna back on the roof, or just tossing the tv altogether will make better sense.

Online tv and DVR'ing past commercials is to blame. I agree, however, hold out. I can watch via my antenna anyway.

If you have NFL mobile app on your phone and are Verizon, you can watch them data free.

Who is demanding the increase? I've never heard. Does Dish want more to transmit or do the locals want to pay less. All I've heard is there is a disagreement.

Perhaps there are ways I could watch something other than on my 50"+ TV or maybe not even have to pay for watching. Don't like to do that. Most times I like the convenience of sitting down in my recliner, pressing a button to turn on the TV and then selecting the channel. Relax and watch the game in comfort. Don't mind paying for that convenience. I realize that it may not be for everyone but those of you who don't care if those channels are dropped from Dish (I don't have Dish) need to know there are those of us who do care. Currently have Midco and I suppose some day they will have the same argument with some other channel.

What pisses me off the most is then I sign up for a service and then a few years down the road, someone on one side or the other decides for me that I am not considered in the decision to drop something from the selection options. When that happens we never see a reduction in costs with said reductions in offerings.

I have the premium cable service with every channel available, except the premium (HBO, Showtime, etc), and still watch 99% of the time one of the big 4.

I am guessing around 150-200 channels.
What a fricken waste

My understanding is the networks want to charge Dish Network more for carrying their stations. Even though they can be had for free over the air they want a peice of Dish's pie which is actually selling other programming. The bottom line is the more the networks charge, the more Dish will charge their customers. Dish has actually been a leader in keeping program costs down in the industry. With all the commercials now days everything should be free! Not sure why these networks think they should be getting money for something that is available for free. That's why they sell advertising!

You aren't one of those old guys that watch the weather on three different channels flip from one channel then the other then the other then back again. Once the weather is over its time to go to bed.

I dont think there is a way to put it on the tv. I tried screen mirroring and chromecast, both are blocked from working while using the nfl mobile app. Anyone ever get it to work?

That's what I have set up a lap top connected to my smart TV via hdmi. You can watch any show online for free. I did this for the old man he has it so that he can use his computer on his TV with a wireless mouse and keyboard. I bought a long hdmi cable that I fished through the floor joist to his tower to the tv. SATELLITE TV is becoming obsolete and they know it. Who wants to watch 20 minutes of commercials in a hour show not me. Get yourself a decent laptop, pc tower, or tablet hook it up via hdmi. And kiss cable bills goodbye

This is my plan next summer after our phone provider finally get Fiber optic communication lines run to the house, going to buy a new smart tv and connect to the net for our future tv movie wants. Been choked down by the limits of DSL way too long.
