This is very near where I grew up. Up until 1986 or so those rocks would've been orange from mine drainage. Sadly it's still too acidic for trout BUT walleye have successful spawns WAY down stream. Occasionally(very) a trout from the headwaters get this far down and gets caught due to a limestone plant and Spring flooding. Then the water gets too warm and the cooling creeks are mine drainage.
Muskie have a shitton of 6in rock/smallmouth bass for consumption at their leisure. Pike were introduced in the 70's and unbelievably/totally failed:
