Holy Snow storm~

The reason our flight was canceled was because the plane we were to fly out on was supposed to fly into Minot last night at midnight, and spend the night at the airport, then fly back this morning. With the storm in the cities that plane couldn't take off to get to Minot. With that flight taking only an hour and a half to get here, you think they could of brought the passengers that were supposed to come in last night in early this morning and turn right around and go back to the cities with the normal flight out of Minot. :;:huh

Yes, if you have a good one they have been to most of the places they recommend and if I am dropping a few grand to go somewhere I have never been I feel the minimal fee they charge is well worth it, especially when traveling outside the US.
There are a lot of travel sites and web deals however I have found many do not include transportation and if you use TripAdvisor to read reviews, it seems like almost everyone that has had issues with checking into most places they have booked on their own.

In some cases they can actually get you a better deal. We went to a Sandals in St. Lucia last year and the travel agent we went through is a "preferred specialist" or something for sandals and we ended up getting our trip quite a bit cheaper than booking on our own.

with a travel agent you also have some guarantees. if something is effed up they can make it right again.
we travel through an agency 80% of the time I would guess.

We went on a Disney cruise and had a situation with one of the events we booked, they handled it immediately and back to having fun we went.

Definitely go there some day. Amazing island and great people there.

Called our agent at around 5 yesterday and by 6 our flights going down were changed and she tried getting our stay at the resort extended another day, but couldn't as they are full. So we lost a day there which sucks but could of been worse, instead of hanging out at home we could of been stuck in an airport.
