How fast are Walleye?

I gotta think Walleyes can move pretty fast when they want to. The fastest game fish down here in the gulf is wahoo, they will hit in excess of 50 mph and their body kind of looks like a Pike to me.

As long as they can hit a crank at 3mph I don't really care how fast they can swin. Look at some of the currents these fish swim against.

I have caught walleye trolling jointed shad-raps at 3.8-4.0 mph... this early summer already.Also, caught some dandy bluegills at the same speeds.

You had big gills hit the JSR's? That's impressive! 5's?
