I’ve always been a shore/fly fisherman but after living in Williston for 16 years I said screw it and picked up a nice Skeeter for my family. I’ve never owned or fished from a boat and even though we haven’t caught anything yet(mainly because the kids get bored trolling) it’s still been a good time and I know as soon as we figure out how to catch walleye they’ll be loving it

New town area, and south has been producing lots of nice 16-20 inch eaters. Try crawlers in about 20-25 FOW with just a slow death, or a plain hook and small bead behind a bouncer.

If nothing else, like most new fishermen, just look for the crowd of boats, they are there for a reason.
