Hook a crane on the top end, and raise it up and slide him out. I had a gopher in one of my downspout extensions this summer. I couldn't get him to come out, so I grabbed it, and gave the heavy end a fling in the air. He came out, and flew about 10 feet into the air, did a couple flips, hit the ground running. I didn't know those short little legs could run that fast.
