Yes there is a screw that opens up an air vent for the tank. It’s always open when I’m running it

Does ur auger have an air filter? If so it might be dirty. Also, I've heard of the " muffler" getting plugged n causing it to not run worth a shit. Just my $.02 worth

No air filter on it. I’ll take a look at the exhaust and make sure it’s not obstructed

I’d try changing gas line. May have a pinhole and it’s sucking air. Cheap and doesn’t hurt.

I’ll give that a shot as well. It’s the original gas line so it probably could be replaced anyway. Just replaced the primer bulb line as it was deteriorating.
