First off if you're thinking of getting an Ice Castle you better trade up to a full size pickup to safely tow cause those SOBs are heavy

Most people I see pulling castles have little trucks or utvs some wheelers evan I've never heard anything about them being heavy or pull hard

I have a 25ft. 5th wheel camper and a 16ft. Ice Castle, the camper tows way easier. You know when the Castle is behind you

I have heard towing around a Castle on the lake with a unit with an air conditioner on the roof isn't ideal either, if towing thru snow.

I have never looked to see how they are mounted on there but I would certainly think bouncing up and down the lake would certainly either loosen things up or disturb the silicone sealant and make it prone to leaking eventually.

Your camper pulls better because it's a fifth wheel the weight is over the axle of course you feel the bumper pull it's on your bumper.. don't get me started on weight per axle that is a dumb comparison sorry not saying your dumb but it's just apples and oranges

Mr. Pike, to me the problem with the having one unit for all seasons is that in order to get one that is comfortable to camp in(to my wife’s standard), I needed a tandem axel, rv type. Works well for camping, but you need a lot of ice to fish it. If you fished in MN where they plow roads, different story. my .02.

My theory is, hold it under 80 and you will get where you are going
