Striker makes some excellent well made gear, very very happy with my coat and bibs.
Wish id have had it a couple years ago when i almost drowned. Its nice knowing i wont be 6 feet under the ice any time soon!:;:thumbsup

I also vote Striker. I just have the predator bibs. I feel they are well built and well designed for a fisherman. My only complaint is I should have bought ones with a bit less insulation because darn these are warm, almost to warm if the temps get in the 30s or higher.

I'm a big fan of my Striker Predator bibs. They are definitely made with the ice fisherman in mind. I don't have any experience with the ice fishing specific coats. I just layer up under my bibs and hardly ever wear a coat over the top unless its dang cold.

I like my Frabill I3 bibs. More than warm enough, light and easy to move around in. Have had them for 3 or 4 years, and so far are holding up well.

I hear all the great things about Striker as well. I have clam that were a christmas present a year ago and i've been happy with them. Zippers are holding up and they're plenty warm for me.

I have been blessed with warm legs, never put bibs on unless it would be an all day outside type of fishing day, then sometimes a pair of long johns, or an old set of camo bibs I purchased 25 years ago that somehow still fit.

mrs johnr on the other hand gets cold in July, so I might have to look into these striker bibs, and heated socks.

I will be a little mismatched. Everything I have is Eskimo and I love my Eskimo bibs. I planned on buying the Eskimo jacket last year, but found one hell of deal on the Striker jacket at the Fargo Sports Show last year. The jacket still has the tags on it and I'm chomping at the bit for the lakes to freeze so I can test it out. However, I hope I never have to test the floating aspect of the bibs and jacket.

I have had the same clam ice armor suit for 12 or so years. I liked them. I pulled the trigger on striker ice two years ago and feel they are better. Since that time, it looks like Clam has upped their game as now they make a float suit.

Lot's of option's these days,for many years icefishing I lived in non insulated cabelas guide wear rain gear,bib's never came off 5-6 days a week,got so worn water started to leak in thru the fly zipper during big waves open water fishing,swung by cabelas told them my bib's leaked,new pair right off the rack,bib's were 5 years old? maybe older? life time warrenty is a class act if they still honor it.

Stryker coat last year, is very warm. Flotation is main reason purchased, and I know it will only help slightly compared to complete suit with bibs.
