I'm tired of beating the dead horse of deer hunting.

Anyone modifying your equipment or coming up with some new ways to fill the gadget gap?

Still messing around with my spear shack. Shelves, decoy hangers, flooring, etc. Don't trust ANY of the ice yet, so I won't be trying it out anytime soon. Guess I'll just have to chase roosters and snare coyotes for awhile. (Grin)

I'm all over Musky's Eskimo/ion/clam plate/drill auger
I keep trying to tell myself I don’t need that set-up since I have a Honda strikemaster already, but man it’s tempting. If I happen to find the Milwaukee 2704-22 for $200 it may happen.

6" thick sharp stainless keel-guard and one of those bubbler thingies that ice-breakers have so I can just continue to use my boat. I catch more fish from the boat than the icehouse.

Well I did end up adding my first inline reel this year. Went with a 13 fishing black betty ghost. Also a couple new venom tungsten jigs, venom rattle spoon, and a clam dropper spoon for hu ting panfish.
As for fish house I have a little skirt repair to do yet.
Ice isn't safe enough around here so it is rooster chasing or yote hunting

3 inch wide strips of 1/4 inch thick UHMW plastic are better than any factory runners. Keep them off gravel and pavement and they will slide like greased lightning. Or, drag them over everything like I do and they still slide well. Best twenty bucks ever spent.

To each their own short. Same could be said about the number of graphs you own.

I have 200 tungsten jigs that I really should paint. They’d be killer for you panfish guys. Just a little small for eyes.

Simple changed for me this year. Making a box mounted in my otter for my heater with padding to keep it tight and protected for the long haul on LOW and Winnipeg.

New FLX 28 joining my family next week as well.

One question for otter owners:

The connection point between all the support poles is a joke. I was going to drill them out with a small bit and put bolts and locking nuts. Anyone else done that or have a better option?

My brother comes back to hunt while I am loading my Pu with gear and he says all that gear just weighs you down with time. He was right load a few necessities and roll. No worries
