Picked up the Helix 7 G2 for this year. I'm pretty pumped to give it a shot this winter. it is a sweet unit.

I purchased an LX7 this past spring and used it a few times before the ice melted. It is an unreal machine. The options on it are endless and the separation is unmatched as well as many other great options. No experience with the hummingbird but I heard they have a lag time between your jig stroke and what the screen relays, the marcum has no lag at all. Using the graph is a game changer. I really like marcums ability to update as well. The maps would be handy at times but nowadays most people have smartphones in which you can get navionics on as well.

I have used the Marcum before and would think you would be happy with it. I do not have much experience with the Hummingbird though.

I'm not sure you can go wrong with any of them anymore I have an FLX28 and love it. Battery life for a couple days, great target separation, low noise and I can dim it in the ice house.

I have a fl22 of when I'm in the fish house or outside. I'm going to mount my helix 7 to the dash of my pickup for when I'm running between spots.
