Remember Paul Harvey very well and my Dad and I went to hear him speak one time when i was very young.
My Dad would listen every week day at 12 noon to Paul Harvey and never missed a day. He even listened when he was in the hospital dying of cancer. While Paul was on the radio and we were eating dinner, we did not dare to speak until Paul's 15 minutes were done! If i remember correctly he was on KFYR radio at noon for 15 minutes Monday thru Friday.
Those were the days!

Wow, interesting site.

Good resource, but I tell everyone I talk to about end times and eschatology...it takes a lot of reading/research/prayer...and then some more prayer. Tough Biblical topic to even begin to understand...but tackling it can bring a greater understanding of the Lord and his plan for us...IMO!

I think the reason it is so hard to understand is everyone has their own idea what the end of days is gonna look like. I studied the end of days for some time years ago and had many unanswered questions. It wasn’t until I read the Muslims view of what’s gonna happen that made everything fall into place. Their savior is gonna be the anti christ. They believe Jesus was a prophet and he’s gonna tell the Christians they were wrong and to worship the beast. The Bible talks of a false prophet that will perform miracles(just like the real Jesus did) and fool even the elect. Many Christians are gonna be fooled by this. Many churches today won’t even touch the book of revelation. Yet all the end time prophecies are unfolding to a T. I personally am very skeptical of a pre-trib rapture.

Sum I have not read the Quran's end time message, may have to do that to gain some insight and understanding. You are spot on...many theological "experts" disagree about the Bible's end time chronology, events, and meaning...it is complex to say the least. But one could say the same thing about many passages from scripture and how we understand them. And to be honest with you...that might be how the Lord intended it...for each individual to study scripture and seek understanding from the Holy Spirit. Years ago when I came back to my faith it was talks about end times with a friend that motivated me to study and seek the Lord again. I dove into Revelation, Ezekiel, Daniel, the Olivet Discourse (Matthew 24-25)...etc. I love history as well...May 14, 1948...when Israel regained her sovereignty...was the biggest prophetic marker the world has seen since the Lord himself walked among man...IMO. Far as a pre-trib rapture goes, there is a lot of scripture and theology that supports it...maybe we should start a separate thread to discuss!

But about that day or hour no one knows, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son, but only the Father. Mark 13:32.

Wow you fellows are making my day today. I thank God for you.
End times is very difficult. Myself I had been premillennial for many years, but now find amillennial a better fit. Our second pastor had been a seminary professor and he once said believe Jesus is your savior that is the interstate. When it comes to interpreting Revelations whichever millennial Im a panmellennialist ---- dont worry it will all pan out. Again he said your faith that Jesus is your savior is the interstate, your belief in one millennial concept or another is a prairie trail, and your salvation does not rely on it.
Wars and rumors of wars. Marrying and giving in marriage. This has been going on as long as our written history. Therefore I believe the seven year tribulation is symbolic. As if Greek wasnt hard enough ancient Hebrew is even harder. When they say the cattle on a thousand hills belong to the Lord they dont mean the cattle on hill 1001 upward belong to someone els. They use s thousand as all inclusive. Likewise many theologians believe the seven years of tribulation is symbolic and each year represents 1000 years. and that we are in the tribulation now. One supporting chaper is when the multitude to great to number stood before the lord an elder asked John who are these. He said you knos these are those who passed through the great tribulation. I suspect this great number is not the population of seven years. Anyway very interesting.
