Yep 1/4 jig and a plastic "preferably with some chartreuse in it."

The jig is safe and so is most cranks. But for boat, shore, and ice if I had only one thing to use I would take a plain Lindy Rig.

Yep, IF all I could ever use was one rig, it would be a Lindy rig with a hook. I really don't count that as a Lure though. If I could only have one lure, (jigs aren't lures either with live bait) it would be a small Wally Diver, the one with white belly and blue/purple back, otherwise known as "The Champ" in my tackle box.

Blue and white x-rap. I've left a trail (admittedly a thin trail sometimes) or walleye carcasses behind that lure. I know we're not allowed any other tackle, so instead of a split shot, I'd tie on a little tiny rock in front of it.
