If you could only have one fishing lure, what would it be? For me, It would be a 1/4 oz jig and a 3 inch twistertail. This would have me covered for pretty much everything that swims. Would love to hear what you guys think.

Per the topic; jig is the most logical choice. Per Svnmag; #13 black/chrome CountDown with good supply of different sized rings/trebles. A jig in itself.

A suspending jerkbait or a vibrating swim jig. Both of those will catch anything that swims in nearly any condition (except through the ice) and tend to catch the bigger fish in a school.

1/8th oz jig and I'm set for most fish that swim in fresh water and a good number of saltwater species as well.

One lure? Eff that.

Ok, I'll play some. If you pick a jig you have to pick a live bait or plastic. Picking a jig is like picking 400 lures if you don't specify tipping.

Lincoln, kinda...
Plain treble hook with an endless supply of minnows.

Followed closely by a chartreuse and silver #5 shadrap.

The ol rattling fat rap blue/chrome rapala, you know, the ones they stopped making in the early 90's so they could sell you more lures
