Well I am headed up there this Friday. I will be staying in one of the Condos. If you are in the vicinity stop over and say hi and have a brew. Keep the tiity sprinkles to a dull roar as the daughter will be with. She is a little repeater.

Weekend looks like doom and gloom as rain seems to be in the forcast. But plan on fishing when the weather breaks or lets up. Hopefully the morning will allow for some fishing. I should have room in the boat every morning as the wife and kid plan on sleeping in. I will have a white ford ecoboost and a gray and green champion boat.

Have a great labor day weekend everyone.

I will be up there tomorrow for a day of fishing. Blue ranger Reata. Just a day trip so will be on the water all day, weather permitting.

The fishing was slow last weekend. A few people seemed to catch some early in the morning. I fished from fossil island all the way up to independence island and didn't have much luck. Pretty much everyone i talked to was the same.

We fished monday and tuesday and had good luck in that area, most of our fish came in 25-40 foot of water. This time of year I really trust my graphs, its crazy how they will be in a certain depth stacked up like cord wood!
Good luck!

Kind of slow for us. Caught 7 but all nice walleyes. Mix of cranks and live bait. Watched my good friend puke for 10 minutes because of the rollers. I call that a win.

I did watch a guy clean a 29" walleye later that day. Idiot.

Titty sprinkles boat problems right from the get go. Maybe made it 100 yards and she died in the bay. Dropped the troller in and limped back to the boat dock. I got a hold of North Country Marine in Garrison right at 9am. Let me be the first to say Kevin that works there salvaged the rest of my saturday. He had the motor back running like a top in an hour and I was able to take the wife and kid tubing for their first time. It might have not been the fishing trip(never dropped a line in) I planned but I think i have the wife and kid on board for a camper next year. Played board games after a nice supper and an additional 4 games of war (card game). Sometime things dont go as you plan, just need to make the best of it.

Live bait, don't have a crank in the boat. 16-26 ft.
The cold morning was tough, but once the sun came out and the temps came up it was on.

Oh one more thing, we somehow lost our Ego net first thing in the morning somewhere between beaver bay and Indian hills. They float, its the one with the long handle if by chance anyone finds it.
Thanks.

Same thing happened on Saturday. After the wind died down and the sun came out the fish started to bite. I was more happy about the sun coming out so I could dry off. The life of a tiller operator.

As I looked up from cleaning my fish, I seen him throw the head in grinder. The head looked like it belonged in a pond in florida. My next question was whether or not he got the cheeks. He did.
