Is ice season done?

I was on several lakes in SE nodak this weekend. It was slushy/sloppy at best. There were spots of almost a foot of slush. I think walking out one will be ok for awhile yet, but what about atvs or even a pickup? Is the season of driving done? Will it get cold enough in the next couple weeks?

Long term forecast has highs in the low 30s and overnight lows in the 20s and teens. It'll firm up...but I sure won't be taking my pickup on the ice for the rest of the year. Foot traffic only.

Ice will be good for another month where I fish. Maybe longer.

I never really even got started this winter. Out twice is all, and now it looks like it might not be able to go again until mid March, iffn its still okay

Gonna be real mess when that water/slush gets a good crust on it. Hard on vehicles. I think I'm pretty much done until open water now.

driving on devils will be good for atleast couple more weeks, lows in single digits this weekend and highs in 20s, 2 week forecast looks cool highs in 20s .

15 day forecast here is nothing above 30 for highs and lows in the single digits to mid teens. Still got at least another month of ice fishing here I'd guess, should be easy to get around with all the snow gone when that water on top freezes up again.

Nope, not done. Just going to get more interesting. Ice won't be as strong as before regardless of the temps. My truck won't see ice again this season, but my leather personnel carriers are going to see some action before it's all said and done. Stay Safe Fellas!!!!!

I agree stay safe, even breaking through that top 2 or 3 inches with 30 inches underneath will pucker up a butthole right quick.

LOL that's pretty darn true. extended forcast looks good to at least maintain what we have for quite some time. shorelines in central ND getting half ass sketchy in some spots . those should firm back up though

After the ice conditions I saw last weekend my truck won't be going on the ice again this year. As long as it stays in the 30's access should be fine for wheelers/sleds/utv's I would think?

sitting on the deck drinking an ice cold Busch light in my shorts probably, but no to the ice cream. We are at 55* right now, but sounds like down to the mid 20's by weeks end
