Not trying to call you out on this, but do you know for a fact? I always thought my 22-250 was smaller until you said it wasn't. I tried to find something on the net, and all I can find is a bad picture comparing the two casings, but I can't get it to upload.

Are you saying it has more powder or can get a larger grain bullet? I just would like to know because my next couple off rifles in my collection will be a 300 win mag and something between my 22-250 and my 270.

The .22-250 is a necked down 250 savage and the .243 is a necked down .308 arent they?

Depends on range and projectile. Cousin used a 7Rem w/Factory Federal 150n Blue Box and shot a badger ~20yds. Caught him square on the chin, head on and never came out. Used badger goo contained within an intact badger-hide sack, but, he had the same number of orifaci he began life with, albeit the mouth was a tad oversized. No exit wound. A critter roughly 10x the size/weight of the badger probably isn't going to eject his back parts outta his front holes.

Had a similar experience with a big copperhead crawling up a shale wall. Recovered a very mangled snake and not one bullet fragment.

I feel like Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. I have a hard time with sarcasm in written form.

I would like a 257 roberts

everything on the 57MM case is a dogshit compromise. Too long for short actions and if going long action might as well add the extra 5MM and use an '06 case. Nostalgia be damned.

My 7x57 runs neck and neck with the 6mm shorter 7-08, when you stand on it, from a long action, and is deep-throated such that even in a long action you can't kiss the lands. That's a LOT of concessions for nostalgia.

One more thing, how is the report on that .300? Could it be considered loud enough for earplugs?

Not with an SRT Arms Shadow XL TI on it, my .17 is way louder. The deer I shot last year was at 360 yards and DRT while the other deer around him just stood there, they didn't even look in my direction and only ran away after I stood up. If I knew how to get a 26mb video off of my phone I'd post a vid of my 10 year old shooting it, hardly any recoil.
