jigging rap vs. shiver minnow

used shivers last fall for the first time. casted them and retrieve various ways. did extremely well with them. biggest ones. replaced the treble with the next sized bigger one. extremely fun to catch fish on those.

A steady retrieve or bounced them back to the boat? I have only vertical jigged these baits before.

I've had some success with jigging raps, better with shiver minnows but for some reason the johnny darter takes the cake for me. Consistently catch fish on them, on the same structure as I'm fishing beside or previously fished jigging raps and changed to the darter. I know this bite has a lot to do with cadence and maybe the darter suits my jigging rhythm better?
