Anybody used this? Looks nice but expensive. Coffee can with rocks in bottom to keep it from floating and then charcoal seems to work just fine and is obviously cheaper. Not ideal if you are moving from hole to hole though.

I like the propane concept, A little insulation would go a long way for fuel efficiency. I agree coal in a can works well but the older I get the more of a fair winter fisherman I am. Used to love the adventure of 2 day cold stormy Ice fishing trip to DL

Looks like a good way to lose a fish at the hole. I wouldn't want to fight a northern through that box. Pro thermals have worked good for me when you put snow around the edges.

When I was kid I watched a friend of my grandpa's dump antifreeze in the hole to keep it from freezing. It was a simpler time.
