K-Drill auger hole diameter?

It's just the K-drill. I bought one last winter, had it out once, drilled 2 holes, and returned it. I just couldn't handle that 7.5" hole. My eskimo is a true 8", the strikemaster chipper bit is actually 8.25". I believe the Jiffy is a true 8" also.

has anyone else noticed the flighting on the k drill doesn't really do anything? i think that is one of the reasons kdrills drill with so little power.
