was Minot now S.D.
I’ve heard it has a algae bloom going on but is it as plugged with weeds as it was last year at this time, usually come up and fish with friends I graduated Surrey with but last year put miles on with weed beds 3-5 feet or less under the surface, wondering if it’s the same this year, talking Graino down to landings 1-3, we kinda grew up on the lake with our dads basically a nostalgic trip for us

Pick your poison. I've read walleye see "orange" best. Let the bait sink/rest a bit on top of the weeds. Work back the the boat on a low rod tip. Vary speed. Keep contact with the weed tops all the way to the boat. When the line/water interface is about 20ft from the gunnel; try to work the worm with twitches "in the same place/same depth". MANAGE slack on your spool. This might require dipping the rod and a brief CONTROLLED opening of the bail (ALWAYS close the bail with a cupped hand. NEVER use the reel handle unless you want an eventual line shitshow).

IME: Far off hits mostly feel: "tic tic". The closer to the boat/shore; the more intense the "lunge".

The drag should be set for "at the toes" contact. Think tarpon. Think leverage and a fast sprint.

For some reason; I caught a few carp in the Hills on an UL UglyStik, Garcia/Mitchell 308, 6lb Trilene Xl and 18 cent crappie jigs from K-Mart. I learned how to back reel in Jr. High; standing in the middle of the river on a bar below a cofferdam. Bud Heavy makes me share.

Anyways: ^^^^ this could be a good deal if you want to save gas. I wish you luck. I'm not talking bullshit.

That is all.
