My understanding of copper line is that it is more utilized for handlining. I could be mistaken. It is a killer way to fish in current situations....

Used all the time for salmon in 300 FOW. I do know that it takes less line to achieve the same depth as leadcore. I have also heard rods require special eyes. Never heard of anyone using it beyond salmon but seems like it would be an alternative to leadcore for walleye.
